August 14, 2025: Expanding Into Oxford!

Big News for our not so little non profit organization 🥹
Kenz is referring to the ALICE reports. Over the next week we will be sharing some statistics on food insecurity and what it means for EVERYONE!
Your help, grants, and sponsorships has allowed us to grow and expand beyond what we dreamed of.
Last year, a senior at Oxford High reached out to Shannon to be her capstone mentor and bring food to kids into the Oxford school system. We are hopeful that another senior can take this on as their capstone and continue to encourage youth leadership in our community.
So while we started here in Seymour, we will continue to grow into schools throughout the valley. Our goal has always been to serve as many children as possible. If you live in the Oxford area and want to find out how to get involved, please reach out!
July 20, 2025: Awarded American Savings Grant!

We are thrilled to share that Seymour Food 2 Kids has received a $3,000 grant from the American Savings Foundation! 🎉
This generous support directly fuels our mission to fight food insecurity right here in our community. With this funding, we’ll be able to provide nutritious weekend food bags for local elementary students who need it most—ensuring no child has to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
To the American Savings Foundation: thank you for believing in the power of community and helping us care for our kids with dignity, love, and consistency. 💛
May 10, 2025: The Great Give!

March 14, 2025: 660 Bags!
Everyone said I was out of my mind for doing 660 bags last night, but to yse the words of one of our furst time volunteers it was “a well oiled machine and amazing” We had 35 youth and 28
adults representing 5 towns who came together to make magic happen.
What is most inspiring is the amazing youth who are committed to supporting and helping each other. Youth who ask regularly“When are we doing more bags to help kids in my school” Your kindness, compassion, and dedication to making a positive impact are truly inspiring. Keep shining and making a difference!
I am humbled by the outpouring of support and positive impact Seymour Food 2 Kids has made in our community! It is incredible the difference we make when we work together. Thanks for being a part of the journey- we can not wait to see when the road leads us 💕

February 7, 2025: Expanding To All Seymour Schools!
We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our Food Bag Program to all Seymour schools! In our continued commitment to supporting the students and families in our community, we are now offering nutritious food bags to every school in the district.
Access to healthy food is essential for academic success and overall well-being, and we know that some families face challenges in providing consistent meals. This program aims to ensure that every student in Seymour has access to the nourishment they need to thrive—both in and out of the classroom.
This expansion wouldn’t be possible without the support of our generous
community and partners. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of Seymour students and their families. We look forward to seeing the program grow and to serving all of our schools!
If you have any questions or would like more details about the Food Bag Program, feel free to contact us or visit [insert contact info or website]. Let’s work together to make sure every Seymour student has the food they need to succeed!
Thank you for being a part of this wonderful initiative.

In addition what we have learned though meeting with school officials is that many teachers are buying snacks for students to have during the school snack time, so we will be providing some items for both schools to have a snack closet ❤️. We appreciate your continued support and we will be updating our wish list with some additional snack items.
