Exciting News: Expanding Our Food Bag Program to
All Seymour Schools!

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our Food Bag Program to all Seymour schools! In our continued commitment to supporting the students and families in our community, we are now offering nutritious food bags to every school in the district.

Access to healthy food is essential for academic success and overall well-being, and we know that some families face challenges in providing consistent meals. This program aims to ensure that every student in Seymour has access to the nourishment they need to thrive—both in and out of the classroom.

This expansion wouldn’t be possible without the support of our generous community and partners. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of Seymour students and their families. We look forward to seeing the program grow and to serving all of our schools!

If you have any questions or would like more details about the Food Bag Program, feel free to contact us or visit [insert contact info or website]. Let’s work together to make sure every Seymour student has the food they need to succeed!

Thank you for being a part of this wonderful initiative.

For more details on how to participate, visit our program webpage or contact your school’s administration directly.

Congratulations to Our Founder and Board Member on Completing Leadership Program!

We are thrilled to announce that our Founder, Shannon Bullard, and Board Member, Jessica Nunez, have successfully graduated from the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 8-week Leadership Program! This incredible opportunity allowed them to strengthen their leadership skills, deepen their connection with the community, and gain valuable insights into the impact of effective leadership.

Through this program, Shannon and Jessica have become even more equipped to continue their vital work with Seymour Food 2 Kids. Their passion for shaping future leaders and their dedication to serving the children in our community have only grown through this experience.

We are so grateful for their commitment to our mission and the difference they are making every day. Thank you, Shannon and Jessica, for your leadership, your vision, and the positive influence you bring to both Seymour Food 2 Kids and the community as a whole.

We are so excited to announce Seymour Food 2 Kids will be growing from 10 children to 40 children for the 2024/2025 school year!  We will provide food bags to 20 children at Bungay and 20 children at Chatfield Lopresti.
In addition what we have learned though meeting with school officials is that many teachers are buying snacks for students to have during the school snack time, so we will be providing some items for both schools to have a snack closet ❤️.   We appreciate your continued support and we will be updating our wish list with some additional snack items.

The benefit of providing food to families is immense and far-reaching. Firstly, it ensures that all family members, particularly children, have access to nutritious meals, which is essential for their physical health, growth, and development.  By alleviating food insecurity, we can reduce stress and anxiety within families, promoting overall well-being and mental health.  Furthermore, by addressing hunger at the family level, we can improve children’s academic performance, behavior, and attendance at school, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty and equipping families with the resources they need to thrive. Overall, providing food to families is a crucial investment in the health and future of individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
